Bugbug Village is located on the sunny east coast of Bali, just 20 minutes from Candidasa, and 2 hours from Ngurah Rai International Airport.
Bugbug village is one of the most ancient on the island; we still celebrate traditions and maintain our long oral history from times even long before Hinduism came to Bali. Today we wish to open up our unique culture to the rest of the world. We invite you to come meet the people, stay in our village, visit the local temples, and take part in our traditional ceremonies and celebrations. In addition to our amazing cultural activities, we are also one of the greatest destinations in Bali for nature lovers.
This website is our window to the world, which we will continually update with information on our culture, local activities, upcoming events, and places to visit. We work together as a community to take care of our guests so please feel free to contact us before your trip. We will be happy to help you plan your visit, inform you of upcoming ceremonies and other cultural events; arrange for fishing, diving, or snorkeling expeditions, and connect you with the best or our local guides, drivers, and accommodation.

CAMPGROUND
The village also hosts one of the most popular and beautiful campgrounds in Bali, looking out over the sparkling blue ocean and Bias Putih Beach known as Virgin Beach from atop the Bukit Asah hill. We can see the perfect Sunrise from Campsite.
DIVING
The waters in front of the village are filled with coral reefs and teem with marine life. Bugbug is full of great locations for snorkelling and diving, and is regularly visited by experienced divers from all over the world.
FISHING
We are famous for our deep sea fishing as well; we love to bring guests out to the ocean on modern speedboats or our traditional wooden outriggers. It is no surprise that the Bugbug area is famous for it’s ocean fishing; the deep waters.
TREKKING
For trekking fans, we invite you to join our friendly professional guides on a hike up the ancient terraced hillsides that surround the village. As you trek, you will be able to learn about our long history first hand, while catching incredible 360 degree views.
